Getting Started

I am pleased to welcome you to Quadra Life – a meeting place for the people of Quadra Island, by the people of Quadra Island.

This is a place where we can connect, share experiences and ideas. It is a collaborative destination with the goal of making our Quadra Island community an even greater place to live. Unlike other social networks, the inner workings of Quadra Life do not use algorithms to promote bad behaviour or exploit one’s privacy. Indeed, this is a place that authentically represents our shared lives and interests.

Getting to Know Your Way Around

To put it mildly, Quadra Life is feature-rich. So much so that it may take a little while to get to know your way around. To help you get started here are a few tips:

• The drop-down menu at the upper right of the page under your avatar is where you manage your Quadra Life account.
• Be sure to complete your profile as soon as you can. This will help in many ways but especially when you are making new connections with other members.
• The panel on the left side of the page provides quick access to the things you’ll use most often on Quadra Life. Helpful Hint: You can expand and contract this panel to give yourself more room. Just click the icon at the very top left of the panel.

In the coming days and weeks we will be tweaking the user experience of Quadra Life as we receive your feedback. In the meantime please spread the word by inviting others. You can do that by clicking on your avatar in the upper right and then choosing “Profile”. There you’ll find the “Email Invites” link.
